ARTIST BIO

Joseph Castrucci is a multidisciplinary designer and Cincinnati resident whose work spans video production, classic graphic design, illustration, product design, photography, and motion graphics. Influenced by timeless logo designs, cinema, communication graphics, landscape design, and nature.

As a co-founder of Habitat Skateboards and a key member of The Alien Workshop, Joe has significantly shaped the visual language of skateboarding culture. His work in skateboarding films has influenced generations of skaters and artists alike.

Joe has developed and designed collaboration projects with a diverse array of renowned brands and artists, including Pink Floyd, Twin Peaks, National Geographic, Future Islands, Animal Collective, Dinosaur Jr., Facebook, The Cincinnati Zoo, Playmobil, Thrasher Magazine, Converse, Adidas, and Nike. His mural work in Springfield Township and at the Facebook office in Columbus, Ohio, showcases his ability to engage with community spaces and contribute to our shared surroundings.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I am fascinated with creating visual language and building an immersive experience. I enjoy utilizing a wide variety of technical skills but design and film are my preferred mediums. A curiosity for the natural world and storytelling provide never ending inspiration.
